Sityana’s music life started as a 14-year-old girl in Welkite’s “Gurague Bahil Kinet”. At the time, the Cultural Center offered training in both sports and the arts. And, having been allowed to participate, she honed her skills with the help of a 10-month course, progressing from singing to herself around the house to a lifelong commitment to music.

Sityana returned to Addis Ababa with her family after graduation and had the opportunity to practice her music in various clubs. She has since relocated to South Africa, where she currently resides.

Career in Music

In 2001, she released her first single. It was released under the title “zm atbel ( แ‹แˆ แŠ แ‰ตแ‰ แˆ)” with lyrics and melody were written by Yosef Gebre and masterfully crafted by Kamuzu Kasa.

With feedback from her first album, she released her second single, “yene jegna( ),” in 2005, with lyrics and melody by Habtamu Bogale and music by Samson Gosaye.

She then went straight into album work, and we’ve been working on it for 9 years.

As a result, Sityana released her third single, “Agul Abay( ),” composed by Elias Melka, in 2011. It also aided her in making contacts in the music industry. In 2014, while waiting for the album’s release, she released another single called “Weleba()”
